BIO

Ian Van Cleve was born in a malfunctioning elevator at St Mary’s Hospital, Tucson, AZ. This was the first of many mishaps in his life.

As a teenager, due to a plea bargain for reasons undisclosed, Van Cleve was sentenced by the state of Colorado to participate in a scientific study dealing with highly educated gorillas. Van Cleve was isolated for one year with apes that spoke sign language and performed other amazing feats. It was during this time that the alpha female, Coco, taught Van Cleve how to play guitar.

In his twenties, Van Cleve found work as a stuntman in live theatrical stunt shows across the world. This work took him to China, Germany, and the Dominican Republic.

Van Cleve always excelled from an early age at music and creative writing, knowing that someday, when life permitted, he would return to it as his full-time work.
